Norwich High School was created by the radical and enterprising people of Norwich. We remain committed to that community and to its values, and to the unique community that is the Norwich High School family.
At Norwich High School, we continue to celebrate all of our outstanding girls even after they have left our school.
Just a few of our celebrated alumnae include:
Our alumnae contribute significantly to the lives of our girls in many ways and we love hearing from them. We are very fortunate to be able to welcome back many of our alumnae to talk to our girls about their lives and experiences since leaving school.
The school also has access to The GDST Alumnae Network, the largest organisation of its kind in the country. Established in 1994, it has over 70,000 members involved in a wide range of activities all over the world, and offers members support with networking, mentoring, work experience, university options, internships and more.
Reunions and events
Each year, we hold regular reunions for our alumnae, including our Summer Lunch which takes place each June.
We can support small and larger events at the school and will be able to help with full event support including catering, school tours and table plans.
If you would be interested in organising a reunion with us, please contact us by calling 01603 453 265
Our alumnae are always very welcome to return to any school events, from our Carol Service to Fashion Show, and Norfolk Show tent to our Open Mornings. Please visit our Events page to see what is happening now.
Returning to our school
We are always delighted to welcome past students back in to the school, whether you would simply like a tour of the school grounds or to inspire the next generation of Norwich High girls.
This year, we were delighted to welcome back nine of our more recent leavers (including one via Skype) back to the school for our first ever Inspiring Females of the Future event, where they shared their experiences of life since leaving school – University, Traineeships, first jobs and much more was covered in this wonderful afternoon.
Several ex-Norwich High students have also taken part as speakers or workshop leaders at other Inspiring Females events including our annual three-day Summit. To find out more about the Inspiring Females programme visit: www.inspiringfemales.org.uk
Alternatively, you may wish to lead a Lunch and Learn or support one of our charitable causes. We were delighted to welcome Norwich High alumna, Kate Barmby from the Great British Bake Off to support our Children in Need Bake Sale.

The GDST Alumnae network
The GDST Alumnae Network is the largest organisation of its kind in the country. Established in 1994 as the Minerva Network, and renamed the GDST Alumnae Network in 2011, it has over 70,000 members involved in a wide range of activities all over the world.
Members benefit from networking both socially and professionally, face to face and online. They receive and give careers support and guidance, they take advantage of a busy and varied calendar of exclusive events and they receive regular email updates on the latest alumnae news as well as the annual alumnae magazine, Verve.
To find out more about becoming a member of the GDST Alumnae network,
We’re delighted so many of our alumnae help give new generations of Norwich High and GDST girls a successful start in their lives beyond school. If you’d like to join them there are several ways in which you can help:
Become a mentor
We believe that the Alumnae Network is an ideal community to support a mentoring programme, especially given the “common bond” so many tell us they have with other GDST former students.
Our alumnae continue to learn and develop throughout their lives, long after leaving school. With an Alumnae Network of over 70,000 there are many ways that former students can support and guide one another both professionally and personally.
This scheme only started in 2014, and has already been hugely successful. Experienced former pupils help other alumnae at critical stages in their personal or professional development, and the feedback from mentors and mentees alike has been overwhelmingly positive.
Offer careers support
This could include:
Get involved with running alumnae events (both professional and social) in your area.
Many of our previous students support
Norwich High and the GDST by donating
or pledging a gift in their Will.
If you would like to pass on university advice, join our mentoring scheme or give any other kind of careers support, please email us, call us on +44 (0)20 7393 6898 or contact your old school directly.
