Norwich High School is delighted to announce that it is now an Apple Regional Training Centre.


We can now deliver free of charge workshops are delivered by highly experienced teaching staff, including an Apple Distinguished Educator.


The courses are designed to empower educators and members of the wider community to develop skills using iPads and wide variety of apps. Some of the workshops will provide guests the opportunity to gain Apple Teacher badges.


Anyone who is involved in, or has an interest in, education may wish to attend. Places are now available to book now via Eventbrite.


All workshops will take place at our school campus at 95 Newmarket Road, Norwich, NR2 2HU. We would request that you bring your own iPad as iTunes U will be used to share course resources.

Apple Regional Training Centres deliver courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. They are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology.


Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.


Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and support teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators.


Teachers from across the region can attend courses to build their knowledge and skills using technology in the classroom and earn badges to achieve their Apple Teacher recognition.


Across the UK and Ireland, the goals of all Apple Regional Training Centres are to:

  • facilitate training opportunities for teachers to develop skills using Apple technology in the classroom
  • promote Apple in Education and share new products and innovations with educators
  • build Apple Teacher across the region
  • share best practices, build community and inspire excellence.

Introduction to Keynote and Numbers

Friday 2nd February 2018 - 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Understand how to use these powerful apps both independently and in unison to transform learning. We will guide you through the basic functions and capabilities of each app before investigating how they can be utilised together in a single learning experience. You will also be able to earn Apple Teacher badges at this event.





Introduction to Pages and iMovie

Friday 23rd February 2018 - 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Engage students with challenges that involve multimedia episodes. Build your skills in iMovie and get to grips with Pages on the iPad. Learn how they can work together in the planning and execution of a range of media products. You will also be able to earn Apple Teacher badges at this event.





Creativity with the iPad

Friday 16th March 2018 - 1.45pm to 3.45pm

Understand how to use iPads to boost curiosity and creativity in the classroom and beyond. This workshops will focus on the use of key apps that will work together to accelerate creative problem solving and include green-screening movies, augmented reality and more. You will also be able to earn Apple Teacher badges at this event.




Using iPads to Create Irresistible Learning Hooks

Friday 4th May 2018 - 2.30pm till 4.30pm

At this exciting workshop, we will guide you through how to embed a wide variety of apps and activities as learning hooks to excite and engage students in lessons. These activities will be suitable for both Primary and Secondary learning. This session will also provide delegates with the opportunity to experience activities but also time to focus on lesson planning and embedding best practice.




Primary Code Adventures in Swift Playgrounds

Friday 18th May 2018 - 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Playgrounds is a complete coding solution that covers large parts of the Computing curriculum for all key stages. In this workshop, we will focus on its use in the Primary Computing curriculum for key stage 1 and 2. Find out how to use the Playgrounds app and the teacher tools and resources to help your students learn to code. The workshop will also touch upon other coding apps and devices that can be integrated into the curriculum. We can also help you to earn a Swift Playgrounds Apple Teacher badge.




iPad Summer Afternoon Tea

Monday 18th June 2018 - 12pm to 4pm

Join us for an app-packed afternoon where a range of speakers and teachers will share valuable tips and resources, as well as hosting skills-boosting breakout sessions. We will be offering an afternoon menu of activities for all users of iPads in education, and at both primary and secondary levels. Refreshments provided.
