The Norwich High School Association (NHSA)
The Norwich High School Association (NHSA) is the equivalent of the PTA in other schools. It is very active and exceptionally well supported by parents, girls and staff.
In 2016 we raised over £15,000 – an amazing achievement and thank you to all who contributed.
Using funds raised over the last two years, the NHSA has given the School grants for the following things which the School budget would not otherwise cover, including:
The other core purpose of the NHSA is to build the community across the School – all of the events we organise are run with this in mind. If you have any ideas for events we might run in future, please get in touch with us, and if you would like to get more involved in anything we do please let us know.

The market is organised each year by the Norwich High School Association (NHSA), a charity run by parents and staff, which aims to raise crucial funds for the school.
This year, the NHSA hopes to raise funds for the purchase of key new equipment for the art department, cricket team and for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. The most recent market raised over £6,500. Visitors to the market can enjoy a exploring a fantastic range of goods for sale, as well as a raffle and bottle tombola.

Quiz and Supper
On Friday 23rd March 2018, we held the annual Quiz Night and Supper, which was as enjoyable and hotly contested as ever. It was particularly great to see so many in green for the night!
The quiz was set this year by Paul Collier and Fiona Collins, with Team 6 displaying a fantastic win, closely followed by the Norwich High staff team.
Everyone had a fantastic night (with an outstanding rendition of PJ and Duncan's 'Let's Get Ready to Rumble' to boot)!
We were delighted to have raised over £1,500. Thank you to our fantastic community for a brilliant evening.
More than 140 parents and staff attended the Norwich High School Association’s Spring Ball at Brasted’s, fully embracing the theme of ‘A Splash of Red’.
Norwich High Sixth Form pianists Connie and Rachel Yan entertained guests during a drinks and canapé reception. A sumptuous 3-course dinner was then served whilst magician Edd Crafer mesmerised guests with his spellbinding tricks. The Lee Vasey band performed the perfect finale for guests to dance the night away.
Thank you to all families, friends and staff who attended – we are now looking forward to the next Ball in 2019.
Photos from the evening are available to purchase from the Archant website:
In 2017-18 school year we raised over £15,000 through various events, such as the November Market, Christmas Shoppe, Quiz, and various Cake Stalls.
Towards the end of summer term, we held our
Annual Summer Fete, which was yet again,
a great success.
A big thank you to Liz Turner for coordinating this event. The whole school community enjoyed a fun afternoon, whether it was enjoying the great food and drinks on offer, the bucking bronco, the many inflatables and many more fun activities! Thank you also to all of our sponsors, including Pymm and Co. who were our Principal Sponsor.
What surprises await us for next year’s
summer fete? Please contact us if you would like to get involved.
On Friday 19th October2018, the NHSA held a cake stall in Eaton Grove Hall, which proved very popular with girls, parents and staff.
It was very well supported, with all cakes selling-out and raising a record £221!
In December, the NHSA set-up the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Stafford House, where Prep School girls could buy and wrap their own special gifts for their families. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by our youngest girls and raised over £150.
The School Uniform Recycling shop can be found in the wooden building next to the Netball Courts at the Christchurch Road entrance to school. The shop is staffed by volunteers and the opening hours are 3pm to 4.30pm every Thursday in term time, and 8.15am to 9.30am on the first Monday of each month. Summer 2019 opening dates will be added here soon.
Please bring your pre-loved items of uniform with completed labels attached with a safety pin. The labels are available to DOWNLOAD HERE or can be collected from Reception in Eaton Grove.
As a parent you will receive a cheque for 70% of the re-sale value and the NHSA will keep 30% for our funds, all of which are used to benefit the girls in school.
School uniform can be purchased from the School Uniform Recycling Shop at school, or online from Schoolblazer.com
The School Uniform Recycling Shop now stocks sample sizes for Schoolblazer so you can try before you buy. We also have some leftover stock from The Schoolwear Centre which is being sold at reduced prices. Please see the Parent Handbook or Firefly on the parent portal for the full uniform list.
Please direct any queries regarding uniform recycling to Emma Stephens: firstname.lastname@example.org
