On entry to the Senior Department at 11, your daughter joins a tutor group in which she will remain for three years. She joins a new form for the two years of the fifth form.
In the first year, girls are based in form rooms in the Churchman Centre - a reassuring half-way house where they can integrate gradually into the Senior Department.
Your daughter joins one of six Companies, a vertical grouping used for music and drama festivals, inter-Company matches and other activities.
The Companies are run by Sixth Formers elected as Company Captains and their Deputies. During the five year course leading to GCSE, all girls follow a balanced educational programme to avoid narrow and early specialism.
Excellent facilities are provided for independent study. A computer network is shared by all departments, including two computerised language laboratories and five ICT suites.
