Our Site

At Norwich High School for Girls, our expansive site gives each student the space to grow, explore and develop a healthy approach to their life.

We are a modern school in a historic setting. Our whole school shares a diverse range of excellent facilities across our expansive single site, giving each student the space to grow and explore. The buildings, outdoor areas and facilities have been designed and developed to meet all of our students’ educational and pastoral needs – from our lecture hall to our wellbeing deck and beautiful green spaces, woodland and Zen garden.

Superb facilities are provided for independent study. Our two libraries are vibrant and modern spaces, offering an outstanding selection of carefully selected books in addition to lots of comfortable and cosy quiet learning areas.

Performance and music is extremely well catered for with a performing arts centre, a picturesque outdoor theatre and a dedicated music school building for all music lessons and rehearsals.

Sporting facilities include a 25m indoor heated swimming pool, two on site multi use games areas and an astro turf hockey pitch, tennis courts, a dedicated sports hall and fitness suite.

Early Years and Prep School

Stafford House

Stafford House, home to our youngest girls from Nursery to Year 6, is a vibrant place where there is always something new and exciting to discover.

Classrooms in Stafford House are airy and spacious, many in purpose built extensions to the original house, allowing for modern additional facilities such as a STEM lab, food technology room, art studio, pastoral room and an extensive library

Other classrooms form part of the original house and retain authentic features which have been imaginatively re-invented for today’s needs.

The outdoor space surrounding Stafford House is well utilised with a woodland playground, outdoor theatre and polytunnel.
