As we approach the close of our Active Travel Scheme in collaboration with Norfolk County Council, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the tremendous progress we’ve made in promoting sustainable travel within our school community. Over the past term, we’ve made significant strides in encouraging visibility when walking and cycling to school, lift sharing and raising awareness about careers related to active and sustainable travel.
One of the key highlights has been the series of assemblies held across both the Prep and Senior Schools, designed to raise awareness about active and safe travel. These sessions were both informative and engaging, helping students and staff to better understand the personal health and environmental benefits of walking and cycling to school. We also focused on educating students about their responsibilities as passengers when travelling in a vehicle.
