Open Events and School Tours

Choosing a school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. We provide open events and school tours catered to the requirements of your daughter, whether she is visiting for Early Years, Prep School, Senior School, or Sixth Form in Norwich.

Norwich School for Girls Open Events

We run annual Open Events including an Open Day in the Autumn, an Open Week in Spring and an Open Day in the Summer term. We always recommend that you attend an Open Event if you can. In addition, we do offer the opportunity to join us for a private visit if our Open Days prove not to be convenient. March Open Week: Prep School and Nursery

Monday 24th to Friday 28th March 2025

Explore our dynamic learning spaces, meet our dedicated staff and experience first-hand how we nurture, challenge and empower every pupil. During your visit, you will enjoy a personalised tour and have the opportunity to meet Head of Prep, Mrs Susan Roberts, to ask any questions. Limited places are available across all year groups, with mid-term entry considered. We welcome families exploring options for 2025 and beyond.

March Open Week: Senior School and Sixth Form

Monday 24th to Friday 28th March 2025

Discover how girls can learn without limits at Norfolk’s top independent school (Sunday Times Parent Power 2024). Enjoy a tour of our facilities and the chance to meet our Head, Miss Alison Sefton. With limited places for September 2025 and visits now open for 2026 entry, this is the perfect time to explore Norwich High School for Girls.

On The Day

In the Prep School and Nursery a member of staff will take you on a guided tour of the school, from our state of the art Early Years Hub to our specialist teaching rooms for STEM, Languages, Music and Art. You will be able to watch sample lessons and have the opportunity to talk to students, staff and current parents about your curriculum and pastoral queries. Your tour will include the facilities we share with the Senior School such as the Forest Schools area, the swimming pool and the sports hall. All prospective parents will meet with Mrs Roberts, Head of the Prep School and Nursery as part of their tour.

In the Senior School you will see exhibitions of girls’ work, practical demonstrations and have guided tours led by our students. The classrooms will be open and our students and teachers will be on hand to answer any of your questions. All prospective parents will meet with Miss Sefton, Head of Norwich High School for Girls, as part of their tour.

Sixth Form

At our annual Sixth Form Open Evening in the autumn term, Year 11 students have the opportunity to explore the Sixth Form Centre and Senior School and meet with subject teachers and students to find out about A Level study. They will also be introduced to the broad extra curricular programme on offer at Norwich High School for Girls Sixth Form.
