Decades of Memories – Celebrating our Alumnae Community

Reunited and reminiscing: Highlights from our wonderful Class of 1976 and Summer Annual Reunions.

What a spectacular few weeks it has been for our alumnae community! We have recently hosted two incredibly special events that brought our history to life: our milestone Class of 1976 Reunion and our Summer Annual Reunion.

Though held weeks apart, both occasions shared the exact same wonderful spirit. From the moment the doors opened, the school was filled with an unmistakable buzz of excitement and nostalgia. It was an absolute joy to see so many old friends catching up and reminiscing.

A Walk Down Memory Lane (and a Few School Dinner Secrets)

Both events kicked off with guided tours, allowing our returning alumnae to explore familiar corridors and see just how the school has evolved over the years. For many, it was a chance to revisit their old haunts while marvelling at our new developments.

“The tour of the school was a real highlight of the morning and we all appreciated the opportunity to explore our old haunts, besides seeing how the school has grown and developed over the intervening years.”

Janice, Class of 1976

Of course, a reunion isn’t complete without sharing old secrets and the stories told over the two events were absolutely priceless. The award for the most unforgettable tale surely goes to the revelation that, back in the day, the dreaded school-dinner liver was regularly and quietly slipped into blazer pockets to avoid the watchful eyes of the lunch staff!

Celebrating Our Milestone Generations

Our Summer Annual Reunion is a celebration for our entire alumnae community. We were delighted by the fantastic turnouts from some of our milestone year groups: the Class of 2006 and the Class of 1986 and we were  particularly honoured to welcome our oldest returning group from the magnificent Class of 1960.

Liz, from the Class of 1986, shared her gratitude for their afternoon back at Norwich High:

“On behalf of everyone from my year group, I just wanted to thank you and all your colleagues for such a wonderful afternoon. Everyone I have spoken to since, had a great time and really enjoyed being back in school again after 40 years! I think there will be much further reconnecting as a result and hopefully we can arrange similar attendance for our 45-year anniversary!”

Save the Date: Summer Reunion 2027!

Saturday 12th June 2027

The more generations we have represented, the merrier the occasion. Be sure to pop the date for next year’s annual summer gathering straight into your diaries. We will be in touch after the summer with further details.

Thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far across both of these weekends to make them so incredibly happy and memorable. Until next year!
