Opportunities beyond the classroom

Early Years

Trips

We use our fleet of school minibuses to enable Nursery and Reception to make trips to places like the beach or the zoo as part of their learning. These exciting hands-on experiences allow the girls to contextualise their classroom learning and develop their understanding.

Clubs and activities

We offer our Early Years girls the chance to broaden their interests beyond the classroom by running a number of lunchtime and after school clubs. Your daughter will be able to choose from sessions such as sewing club, minibeast madness, yoga, lego club and ballet. From Reception your daughter will be able to take part in Pre-Prep Choir and may choose to join our Rainbow and Brownie pack.

Little Caterpillars

Before your daughter joins our Nursery or Reception classes, she is welcome to attend our Little Caterpillars group which runs weekly Stay and Play sessions for parents or grandparents and their children. The sessions change each half term but have focused on Forest Schools, cooking, arts and crafts and swimming. This has proved to be a great way for families to integrate with the Norwich High community and to help their daughter to become familiar with the Early Years environment and staff before making a confident start with us.
