Year 9 students complete industry-recognised award
This term, 13 Year 9 students have completed their Bronze Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award.
The Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award, known as iDEA, is an international, award-winning programme that helps students develop digital, enterprise and employability skills for free.
iDEA aspires to be the digital and enterprise equivalent of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Through a series of online challenges, students can win career-enhancing badges, unlock new opportunities and talents and, ultimately, gain industry-recognised awards that help them stand out from the crowd.
Students have had the opportunity to get more confident with technology, develop their talents and gain all-important knowledge and information about the digital world including digital literacy and staying safe online.
Mr Horne, Head of Computer Science, commented: “The girls have worked hard to gain their Bronze awards, with some carrying on to work through the silver challenges. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain the skills which are becoming more and more important in the digital revolution.”
Well done to everyone!
