A fantastic 86% of our Class of 2025 secured their first choice destination, reflecting their hard work and determination. This includes a remarkable 50% of students heading to Russell Group universities. Furthermore, an impressive 7% of our students are going on to pursue demanding courses in medicine, veterinary science, and dentistry, while 4% have successfully gained places at Oxbridge universities.

We are also proud to highlight some of the individual successes within this year’s results:

We are particularly proud of our students’ outstanding success in creative subjects this year, reflecting their creativity, self-expression and the development of lifelong skills. At a time when many schools are cutting back on the arts, Norwich High is proud to be investing in this area and it is wonderful to students take hold of the opportunities available to them. The results are truly impressive, with 60% of all grades in Art and 33% in Textiles achieving A-A*. These successes have led to our students securing places on a wide and exciting range of courses that are often more vocational and future-focused. Our leavers are heading to study subjects such as Fashion and Film and Moving Image Production at Norwich University of the Arts, Media Content and Communications at Kingston University, and Games Art at Leeds Arts University. Other students are pursuing their passions in Illustration, Product Design, Music Performance, Drama and Creative Writing. This diverse array of destinations is a testament to our commitment to nurture and support students’ unique and authentic interests, ensuring they find the right path for a meaningful and enjoyable career with real-world application.

This year’s results highlight exceptional performance across a range of subjects. Our Geography students achieved a remarkable 100% A* grade, with Head of Geography Andrea McKay commenting, “We are immensely proud of the dedication and passion for Geography within Norwich High. The hard work of the students this year has been truly inspiring to witness.” In Mathematics, we saw outstanding results, with 100% of Further Mathematics students achieving A*-A and 75% of Mathematics students earning an A*. Head of Maths Chris Shepherd said, “These results are a testament to our students’ commitment and their love for problem-solving. We are thrilled to see them excel in these challenging subjects.” In Physics, 50% of grades were A*, with 100% at A*-B. Head of Science Anne Farthing added, “Our students’ fantastic results in Physics demonstrate their intellectual curiosity and ability to grasp complex concepts. They have a bright future ahead in STEM.”

We also celebrate success in our vocational subjects, with our BTEC Sport students achieving 100% Distinction grades, including a special congratulations to Molly, who is going on to study Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia. In Business Studies, a third of students achieved an A* and 67% earned A*-A. Congratulations to Elitsa, who is taking up a prestigious Business Accounting and Finance apprenticeship through Newcastle University. We are also delighted to report that in Languages, there was 100% A*-B across French, German, and Spanish, with a Year 12 student also achieving an A* in Russian. Well done to Class of 2024 alumna Eve who has secured a place at the University of Oxford to study German, following a successful post-A Level application.
