The Norwich High School Association (NHSA)

The Norwich High School Association (NHSA)  is the equivalent of the PTA in other schools.  It is very active and exceptionally well supported by parents, girls and staff.

  • Stafford House Tuck Shop
  • Willow pieces at the Prep School
  • Playground equipment
  • Pool backstroke flags
  • The Edith Cavell Piano restoration
  • Two Outdoor table tennis tables
  • Farm shop shed for the Prep School
  • Outdoor Chess sets and other outdoor games
  • Big Skies week activities
  • The Positive Group
  • Science Dept data loggers and probes
  • Rowing ergos
  • Microscopes for Biology Labs
  • Bib and Braces for Forest Schools
  • A specialist Dance Tutor (2 hours per week)

The other core purpose of the NHSA is to build the community across the School – all of the events we organise are run with this in mind. If you have any ideas for events we might run in future, please get in touch with us, and if you would like to get more involved in anything we do please let us know.

Best wishes,

Fiona Collins and Jamie O’Donnell

NHSA Events

November Market

The market is organised each year by the Norwich High School Association (NHSA), a charity run by parents and staff, which aims to raise crucial funds for the school.

This year, the NHSA hopes to raise funds for the purchase of key new equipment for the art department, cricket team and for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. The most recent market raised over £6,500. Visitors to the market can enjoy a exploring a fantastic range of goods for sale, as well as a raffle and bottle tombola.

Quiz and Supper

On March 2019, we held the annual Quiz Night and Supper, which was as enjoyable and hotly contested as ever. It was particularly great to see so many in green for the night!

The quiz was set this year by Paul Collier and Fiona Collins, with Team 6 displaying a fantastic win, closely followed by the Norwich High staff team.

Everyone had a fantastic night and we were delighted to have raised over £1,500. Thank you to our fantastic community for a brilliant evening.

Great Gatsby Ball

We do hope that many of you enjoyed

a night of glitz and glamour at the

2019 NHSA Great Gatsby Ball!

Guests were welcomed with pre-dinner

drinks and then enjoyed a sumptuous

3-course dinner. Live music from the

Lee Vasey Band and The Jazzy Dodgers,

our talented Sixth Form Jazz Band,

brought the very finest in 1920’s music

and had everyone dancing the night

The NHSA are delighted to announce

that over £1,900 was raised from

the event, which took place at Brasted’s. Thank you to all who supported this wonderful evening.

Summer Fete

Thank you everyone who joined us for the NHSA Summer Fete in June 2019, especially with the heavy

downpour and strong winds which preceded the event.

Luckily for most of the event it cleared away, with girls enjoying the Donkey rides, slushies, slides and much more.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to our NHSA for putting on another fantastic event.

What surprises await us for next year’s summer fete? Please contact us if you would like to get involved.

Cake Sales

Each term, our NHSA kindly organise themed cake sales at both Stafford House and Eaton Grove, usually raising well over £200 at each event.

Thank you to all girls and parents who bring in cakes and bakes, and our NHSA parents who volunteer their time to look after the stalls.

Christmas Shoppe

Each December, the NHSA sets up the 'Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe' in Stafford House, where Prep School girls can buy and wrap their own special gifts for their families. Each event is thoroughly enjoyed by our youngest girls and usually raises over £150.

Uniform Shop

The School Uniform Recycling shop can be found in the wooden building next to the Netball Courts at the Christchurch Road entrance to school. The shop is staffed by volunteers and the opening hours are 3pm to 4.30pm every Thursday in term time, and 8.15am to 9.30am on the first Monday of each month.

Please bring your pre-loved items of uniform with completed labels attached with a safety pin. The labels are available to DOWNLOAD HERE or can be collected from Reception in Eaton Grove.

As a parent you will receive a cheque for 70% of the re-sale value and the NHSA will keep 30% for our funds, all of which are used to benefit the girls in school.

School uniform can be purchased from the School Uniform Recycling Shop at school, or online from

The School Uniform Recycling Shop now stocks sample sizes for Schoolblazer so you can try before you buy. We also have some leftover stock from The Schoolwear Centre which is being sold at reduced prices. Please see the Parent Handbook or Firefly on the parent portal for the full uniform list.

Please direct any queries regarding uniform recycling to Emma Stephens:
