Norwich High School for Girls is now the only school in the region to be designated as a Tooled Up Education School.

Norwich High Prep School and Nursery is proud to announce an exciting new collaboration with Tooled Up Education, providing families with children in Nursery to Year 6 exclusive access to a cutting-edge digital library of parenting resources. Thanks to the generous support of the Norwich High School Parents’ Association (the NHSA), this partnership will grant parents, carers and staff access to a comprehensive suite of evidence-based tools designed to support family life, education and children’s development.

Founded by leading parental engagement expert Dr Kathy Weston, Tooled Up Education is an invaluable online resource featuring insights drawn from the latest global research. The platform translates complex data into practical advice, covering key topics such as children’s mental health, sleep, resilience, academic progress and navigating digital life. This resource is designed to empower parents with simple, actionable strategies they can immediately use to help their children thrive.

Norwich High School for Girls is now the only school in the region to be designated as a Tooled Up Education School, underscoring its commitment to supporting its families with high-quality, research-backed resources.

“We are thrilled to bring this unique resource to our school community. Tooled Up Education will offer our parents and teachers unparalleled access to expert guidance on the pressing topics of our time—from mental health and digital well-being to academic success and family relationships. This collaboration embodies our commitment to providing holistic support to our families.”

Susan Roberts, Head of Norwich High School for Girls Prep School and Nursery.

The Tooled Up platform will be available to Prep School and Nursery parents and staff throughout this academic year, providing an invaluable resource for navigating the challenges and joys of parenting. The school believes this collaboration will serve as a vital tool in empowering parents and carers as they guide their daughters through crucial developmental years.

Ali Brand, Deputy Head of Norwich High Prep School and Nursery, said: “We place our girls at the heart of everything we do, and our parents share this commitment. What excites us about using Tooled Up, highly recommended by impressed GDST colleagues, is that it provides advice that is both up-to-date and evidence-based. We are experts in educating girls, and that expertise includes a pastoral approach designed to support each girl as she grows and thrives. Tooled Up aligns closely with our ‘compass’ approach; we stand side by side with each pupil on her journey, recognising that together—as a united community—we are stronger. Our girls know they are valued for who they are, yet they understand that challenges are a natural part of life. Thanks to Tooled Up’s 24/7 support and trusted guidance, both parents and staff are even better equipped to help our girls navigate those moments.”

Prep School and Nursery parents are being invited to a launch event to find out more about accessing the Tooled Up resources.
