School Transport

We appreciate that safe and secure school transport is an important issue for busy parents as you consider both the mode of transport for your child and its cost. Look through out school transport options and please get in contact if you have any questions.

Minibuses

We provide minibus routes bringing students from Year 2 upwards to school from across the whole region. Our in-house minibus service is operated by the school with our own dedicated team of professional drivers. All our minibuses are finished in distinctive Norwich High School livery, ensuring passengers travel in both comfort and style.

Please contact Mrs Chloe Oakley via c.oakley@nor.gdst.net for availability and to join a waiting list if required. Please note that spaces are subject to availability.

Other methods of school transport

Cycling
Both the Prep and Senior Schools have cycle racks and we encourage girls to cycle or walk to school where possible. (Please note that cycling is not permitted in the school grounds.)

Public transport
A number of train, bus and coach services serve the main routes into Norwich. The County Council also operates a park and ride service from principal parking locations and further information regarding this can be found on their website.

Coming by car
Please drop your daughter off so she can enter school by either the Christchurch Road or Albemarle Road pedestrian entrance. For their safety we do not allow students to walk down the main drive from Newmarket Road and the minibus hub at the rear of the school on Christchurch Road. We operate a voluntary one-way system from the Newmarket Road end of Albemarle Road, and would ask you not to drive into Albemarle Road from Mount Pleasant at drop off and pick up times. Please try to stagger pick up times and avoid the very busy times when possible. The roads are quieter after 4.00pm. We communicate regularly with our neighbours and have members of staff on the entrances in the morning.

Car parking
Blue badge holders are welcome to park in the allocated spaces in the Newmarket Road car park. Please use the designated short-term parking spaces on Christchurch Road, Albemarle Road, Mount Pleasant, Lime Tree Road and Newmarket Street for dropping off and picking up your child. As a courtesy to local residents, please use the parking bays and do not park illegally on double yellow lines or across driveways. There is also non-permit parking on Bury Street and Onley Street. Parking is not permitted in front of Stafford House at any time.
