Norwich High equestrian team celebrate inaugural win at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping National Championships.

The Norwich High equestrian squad are continuing to go from strength to strength having achieved some considerable success in national competitions this summer.

Kate (L4), Bethany (L5) & Tilly (U5) took home the 90cm ‘Just for Schools’ Team title last month at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping National Championships in Bolesworth.

The trio all jumped clear in at least one of their rounds to pull their team three fences ahead of the Berkhamstead Team. This was the first time that Norwich High School have claimed the trophy making the win all the more special!

Congratulations also to Evie for her second-place finish in 80cm at the British Showjumping National Championships 2020, and to Tilly and Bethany, who finished in second and third place respectively as individuals.

More success followed for squad member Tilly, who travelled down to Hickstead at the end of the summer holidays and finished in fourth place in the National Schools Eventers Challenge.

The squad, led by Equestrian Coordinator and Head’s PA Mrs Waity, competes in a number of events organised by the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) and British Showjumping ‘Just for Schools’ throughout the year, both individually and as a team.
