Six of our talented Year 12 students participated in the GDST Space Technology Diploma this year.

The GDST Space Technology Diploma is a unique program focused on enhancing programming skills through engaging projects related to real-life challenges in the space industry.

The diploma covers a wide range of computer science disciplines, including communications, data analysis, and programming, while also fostering connections with other STEM areas like Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy.

Throughout the program, our students attended weekly seminars, immersing themselves in the captivating world of space technology. These sessions provided valuable insights into data capture, analysis, and programming, enabling our students to contribute meaningfully to the space community. Additionally, they were thrilled to visit the renowned Google headquarters in London, where they witnessed firsthand the latest advancements in technology.

But it wasn’t just about serious learning; our students also had the opportunity to collaborate and forge friendships with their peers from different GDST schools during a special gathering at our London office. Working together on problem-solving activities, they honed their teamwork skills.

The GDST Space Technology Diploma has truly taken our students’ Computer Science journey to new heights, extending their knowledge and igniting their passion beyond the traditional classroom. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and grateful for the invaluable experiences they gained.
